We believe in employing only experienced and qualified staff, providing the
opportunity for one training position through the apprenticeship system.
All staff have completed amenity horticultural training or landscaping with the
Otago Polytechnic or Dunedin Botanic Gardens.



Neville Stewart

Neville has over 30 years experience in gardening, horticulture and landscaping. He began working at Montecillo War Veterans Home when the gardens were at their peak in the late 1970’s, and went on to complete horticulture training with the Invercargill Parks and Reserves. 
 
He has also worked at Glenfalloch Woodland Gardens on Otago Peninsula, and spent four years in the Dunedin Botanic Gardens.  Neville became a a horticultural tutor at the Wakari Herb Farm and a part time tutor with the Otago Polytechnic while establishing the business in 1993.

 


Richard Forbes

Richard has over 14 years experience in gardening.  Richard completed a BSc in Botany in 1993, and travelled to London in early 1995.  He worked with one firm (specialising in garden design, construction and maintenance) for five and a half years, rising to the position of Team Leader. This role involved leading a team of gardeners and client liaison.   

On his return to Dunedin at the end of 2000, Richard met and worked for Neville before becoming a partner in Neville Stewart Landscaping Ltd.
